Gouache on Watercolor Paper - 5”x7”

This piece was much more challenging than I thought it would be. Creating a depth for the path to look three-dimensional proved to be a fun challenge. I started off blocking in colors. Since the overall shape of the piece is pretty simple, I didn’t worry too much about covering my initial sketch guidelines as I usually do. After spending days wrestling with the path,  here is the final result:
