Watch Product Photography

For these watch photos, I aimed for a more masculine, monochromatic look. I also wanted to feature a model to showcase how the watch would look on someone. Experimenting with moody lighting, I really enjoyed the creative process. As always, having an e-commerce shot for websites and magazines is essential. I often like to start with this type of shot to get into the rhythm of shooting and working with lights. It also gives me time to work out any kinks with the studio equipment.

Next, I worked with the model. I enjoyed the challenge of using a model dressed in all black against a black backdrop. This setup helped create a stronger focal point and resulted in more creative images.

For my last image, I wanted to make a physical collage by combining elements that match the watch’s aesthetic. Because I am an illustrator as well, I know the benefits of sketching out what I want first. Here is the sketch I made.

My original intention was to shoot it all at once, but after having lighting issues, I realized it would be a better option to shoot the pieces individually and add them to a final composition.
Here are the photos I ended up combining for the final image.

Here is the final result for the image.
