Pixar’s “Win or Lose” - Vanessa & Frank

After watching Pixar’s first long-form series, I absolutely fell in love with it. From the characters to the unique story, it had me captivated. This drawing is a tribute to the show featuring two of my favorite characters, Vanessa and Frank. Starting with a few sketches, I developed the concept I wanted to bring to life.

From there, I sketched out a general shape in Procreate on the iPad. The goal of this sketch was to focus on understanding the overall anatomy and composition of the image, without getting too caught up in the details.

Using this as a baseline, I created a more detailed sketch to use underneath as I add colors.

From there, I added the base colors and then cel-shading.
